DIY Tie Dyed Jack-o-Lantern Shirt

I’m sure you all know tie dye is super trendy this summer. It seems like everywhere is selling tie dye and I’m honestly loving all of it. I’ve bought some tie dyed pieces here and there but wanted to give it a try for myself. I haven’t tie dyed anything probably since middle school at church camp or something so I had some winners and some losers 😉

Unfortunately I wanted until the end of July to do this so I wanted to try something that felt a little more fall-ish than your average tie dye.

I had bought THIS TIE DYE KIT off amazon that came with orange and black so I decided to try some halloween tie dyed shirts!

I just did the swirl spiral technique with 3 rubber bands on these and did one for Ellie and one for myself. You just alternate each section to be orange and black.

Apparently I didn’t get Ellie’s shirt wet enough prior to the dye so you can see how the dye is a little more crisp and the edges aren’t as faded as my shirt and how it normally looks. This was kind of a happy accident in my opinion. I feel like it really works perfect for that Halloween vibe!

You can alway just stop here and wear them like this but I wanted a little something extra. I had a friend add these adorable jack-o-lantern faces on them and they turned out perfectly!!

This is her modeling…. you can see how that goes for me 😉

What do you think? I’d love to see if you try making some halloween tie dye shirts!
