Snow Day #2

After our first snow day, it rained all the next day. It was only 36 degrees and was just a wet/rainy mess outside. They kept saying we would get 3-5 inches of snow but I just didn’t think it would happen. Once inch of snow is a big deal in Alabama, 3-5 just didn’t seem realistic. Sure enough, the weathermen were right. It started snowing around 4pm and didn’t stop until midnight or so. I think we ended up with 3-4 inches. Unfortunately it snowed mostly while it was dark so I didn’t get to enjoy it as much as I would have liked but it was so beautiful I kept trying to get pictures of it falling because this happens so seldom that I wanted to capture the beauty of the snow. I haven’t mastered photography at night time yet.

This morning the sun was out and the snow was beautiful. I could have spent all morning out there taking pictures! I didn’t get to enjoy it as much as I would have liked and it’s now melting away but I love that I have these pictures to remember how beautiful the snow is!! Our back yard was a winter wonderland and I couldn’t have been happier!

The dogs were less than thrilled with the snow. The snow on the ground was hard and icy this morning so they kept trying to walk on it and then falling through and getting stuck. It was hilarious to watch! They walked and ran so awkwardly! So naturally I tried to get them to walk on it as much as possible and photograph it. 🙂

I was able to get a few good pictures of them in the snow though even though they avoided the snow as much as possible and made any trip outside short!

I just tempted Riley out in the snow with snow balls. He sat there and ate several of them!

I did several craft projects last night while it was snowing so I’m sure I’ll be posting them soon! 🙂
