Lingerie Shower Decor
As I mentioned in a previous party post, one of my best friends got married this past fall and we all know that with weddings comes a lot of fun showers and events. We went to Destin, Florida for her bachelorette party and had the BEST time!!! Her sister (who planned the trip) paired off all the attendees and gave them a different night to plan which was GENIUS! I will definitely do that from now on! That’s the perfect way to make sure one person doesn’t get stuck with all the planning and gives everyone a chance to do what they want! Me and one other girl were given the lingerie shower and I was thrilled. Lingerie showers are just so much fun and I knew it would allow me to do some decorating in our condo. I knew decorations would be limited since I would have to bring everything with me.
The bride’s favorite color is purple so I designed and decorated everything in a purple, black and silver glitter theme. I read many tutorials on how to design something to look like glitter and I think I was successful! Every lingerie shower/bachelorette party needs some glitter! I used my graphic design skills to make a lot of easy paper decorations that would be easy to pack in the car.
I love the “Oh La La” banner that we tied off with tulle. I just love banners in general! They are so simple to make, easy to customize, cheap and adorable!
The options for cute decorative signs are endless! I’m loving the glitter and purple chevron! I had purchased some purple sequins on clearance many years ago after Easter and knew they would eventually come in handy. We just dispersed them on the counter top with all the other decorations.
I made decorative cups to match the shower as well. Just buy the adhesive paper and a large circle punch and you can make easy custom/decorative cups!
We used streamers as a photo backdrop which was easy and cheap and made for great pictures for the party! It’s great to have a picture background vs. the kitchen, living room, or the mess of 8 girls staying in one condo! Meet the beautiful bride 🙂
I had a local friend of mine that makes cakes and cookies make these adorable corset cookies. Each one was a little different and they were much easier than trying to travel with a full cake and much cuter than buying anything from a Destin grocery store. We did the lingerie shower before going out to dinner so we didn’t need a lot of food or cake.
I think every party/shower needs a custom banner, sign and cups, etc. If you are planning a shower or party and need some of these items, I’d be happy to work with you! Email me at cchamby87@gmail.com!
The bride gave each of us one of these gift boxes. Super cute and easy hostess gifts! She added glitter initial stickers to shot glasses for each girl and included a few different minis.
