Thanksgiving Crafting Projects
This past Thanksgiving we were fortunate enough to have my grandma, aunt, uncle and cousin in town from Texas for the entire week! It is so fun to have them in town and be able to casually visit, go to the movies and whatever else we would like to do. This year I decided it’d be fun to do some of these easy crafting projects together! Crafting is the perfect thing to do because it can be mindless and gives you plenty of time to visit and it can be very inexpensive if you already have most of the supplies around the house. We made burlap hangers and these little burlap covered decorative blocks and some earrings.
These were the projects I found online that we were attempting to make/copy. The blocks were super cheap and easy although I didn’t care for the way mine turned out without a stencil. And my cousin’s burlap hanger looks very similar to this one!
While my cousin made her Alabama Football hanger, I worked on a University of Kentucky basketball hanger for this basketball season! I was so busy visiting and crafting that I forgot to take many pictures but that’s what it’s all about anyways! This is the UK Burlap Hanger I made. It’s hanging out on our front porch now!
And we made some of these earrings. You can find these acrylic flowers at Hobby Lobby in the bead section or order them online and all we did was super glue earring backs on them! They’re cheap and easy and great so you can have some in every color! 🙂
