Green Books and Brass Console Table
My green console table in my living room is usually the first place I like to restyle and is changed up the most often. When I get the itch to change things up, it’s my go-to spot! This Summer it stayed the same for months which had to be a record! I just loved the way it looked and had no urge to change things up until this week. Here is what it looked like before!
This summer I hung up this floral painting from Home Goods and got the idea to use brass from the brass frame around it. I started collecting some brass items and all my green books to style this console in a new and different way than normal.
I needed more green books so I just ran to my favorite thrift store and bought several more to add to the collection. I also found these brass leaf book ends and the gold painted iron that I picked up to use as well! I love that $10 goes a long way with thrifting and decorating!
The candlesticks are from IKEA, you can see them HERE and HERE although they aren’t available online. I just used some brass stemless wine glass from Target on the candlesticks with some thistles from some flowers I got that are dried and easy to throw into vases. The thistles bring out the blue-ish purple from the painting perfectly!
The topiaries have been used often on my console table but they just work perfectly. They are from IKEA last summer and unfortunately aren’t available anymore.
That is all for now! I am loving the Wood, Greens and Brass together and just needed a change!
I was channeling my inner Haneen with this project. If you missed her green entryway, you must see it HERE!
