Thanksgiving Blessing Announcement
Well for those of you who have been following along with our journey to start a family, we have a lot to be thankful for this year! We’re always thankful but this year we have something a little different that we’re thankful for. We’ve been keeping a secret from everyone and now that we’ve told our family, we’re excited to finally share! We have been chosen to adopt by an expectant mother!!! {Praise Break!!} Out of respect for the mother and situation I am not going to share many of the details at this time but she is due in May and we couldn’t be more excited!!
I purchased this adorable print from Etsy HERE (affiliate link)
As you may remember in my first announcement HERE, the Lord has had his hand in this from the beginning at making his plans known! We agreed that as long as the Lord opened doors we would walk through them and here we are!
The Lord continues to blow us away with his favor on this situation, here are some praise reports we have so far:
Fundraising – we have had so much love and support through our fundraisers that have been such a blessing!!! We cannot thank each and every one of you who have bought shirts, donated items, purchased items or donated money! Thank you all so much for helping make this happen!
Payment terms – we were originally told this path of adoption we’re on that we would have to pay 100% up front but they have made an exception and allowed us to pay the 70% we have and pay the rest in a few months! This allowed us to match much quicker than we ever could have expected and this would not have been possible at all without the amount we had in hand with help from our fundraisers.
Due Date – Bryant and I started doing the math and this baby is due almost exactly 9 months from when I felt the Lord calling us to adopt. We know that this is not a coincidence and this is the child we’ve been praying for.
So that’s the news! We are very very excited and anxious to find out the gender! Please continue to pray for us as the adoption process is a stressful and worrisome process but we know the Lord is in control and we can’t wait to see how the rest of his story for us unfolds!
