DIY Watercolor Print Tea Towel
I had several towels left over from when I made my DIY Spring Towel and wanted to make a fun blue and white watercolor towel with some of the extras. I shared my DIY Watercolor Prints for the Non-Painter yesterday and now I’m going to share how I used the prints!
Supplies:
- Leslie Riley’s TAP Transfer Paper
- Flower Sack Towels
- Iron
- Artwork
Here are the short steps:
Step 1: Print your artwork following the instructions of the paper. Make sure you flip the artwork horizontally so that it irons on correctly (I learned that the hard way).
Note: I’m sharing the artwork I used as a free download here>>
Step 2: Iron and Iron and Iron some more. The paper should come off pretty easily so if it’s not, keep ironing. If it doesn’t want to lift, keep ironing! My sweet friend Chloe did a super helpful video of how to use the paper. I definitely recommend checking it out!
That’s it! These would make perfect Mother’s Day gifts if you want to use an image that is special to you and make towels. This would be super cute with a watercolor of the exterior of a house, pets, etc.
