Easter Home Tour – Part One
The weather has been warming up and I couldn’t be more excited! Can you believe Easter is about 3 weeks away now? This year is already flying by. I spent this past weekend working on getting my Easter and Spring decor out. It’s usually something that evolves over several weeks but I figured I’d share it all with you as it is today.
Some things may look familiar as I used some of the items and things I liked from last years Easter decor that you can find here.
I always start with our console table in our living room. It’s my favorite area to change up for the seasons and I used several of the same items from last year because I loved them so much. Instead of buying an Easter wreath, I made a moss cross last year to hang on my wooden rosette wreath from Home Goods. I also used my DIY burlap nests on my candlesticks that I made last year with scrap burlap.
I love this mirror from Kirklands and usually hang a wreath on it but I didn’t have a good Spring wreath that I wanted to use. I found this basket at the thrift store weeks ago for $1 and thought it’d make the perfect hanging basket. I bought some faux tulips from Michaels and tied a chalkboard tag that I had onto it. I love how bright and fun it is for Spring!
I found this old bucket at an estate sale recently and had expectations to use it for flowers on the porch in the spring, but I couldn’t wait. I filled it with faux blue and white hydrangeas and I love how bright and springy it makes our fireplace!
Speaking of hydrangeas, when I was at Michael’s buying the tulips, I found this adorable blue hydrangea pillow that was 40% off and I had an additional 20% off coupon…SCORE! It’s no secret that I love blue and white and I love hydrangeas so I had to get it and I’m so glad I did! I just love the vintage post card look and the stitching of the flower.
There is an odd little nook where our living room and kitchen meet that is perfect for this corner shelf that I had from my parents. I added some greenery, flowers and other spring decor items.
That’s all for the living room! I’ll be back next week to share more of our Easter home tour!
