Vintage Christmas Candle Cups

Vintage Christmas Candle Cups

A couple weeks ago I went to the City Farmhouse Pop Up Fair in Franklin, TN. I found these cool rusty galvanized cups and just couldn’t pass them up. I really don’t know what they are, the lady said something about being used to collect tree sap but who knows. What I do know is that I love their size and rusty patina! I see these being used a lot!

I already had a pack of candlesticks so I just picked up some cheap pine stems (one per cup) and one berry stem from Old Time Pottery to use for my vintage Christmas candle cups.

This is super simple, here is what I did:

Step 1: Put small blocks of floral foam in the bottom of each cup to hold the candle up.

Step 2: Stick the candle stick into the middle of the foam.

Step 3: Cut off all the pine branches from the stem and placed them in the cup, around the candle. I used one stem per cup and that gave me 5 small branches per cup.

Step 4: Cut little groups of the berries off the stem and placed them into the pine branches.

That is all!! I love these for the Vintage/Farmhouse Christmas look! I’m currently using them on my vintage cutting board that you can find here.
