DIY Address Number Pots
I started thinking about our fall porch weeks ago and knew I wanted several mums in different colors. I always love when I see people display their address number in unconventional ways so I decided I would make some address number pots that I could switch out the plants for the seasons. I found these small brown clay pots at Walmart and knew they would work perfect. This may be the easiest DIY I’ve ever shared but I figured I’d share it anyways!
Supplies Needed:
- Clay Pots (One per number)
- Stencil
- Pencil
- Paint – use whatever you have around the house
- Sandpaper/Sanding Block
Steps:
Step 1: Using a stencil and pencil, create the number outlines on each pot.
(I apologize for these awful photos. I was working on these at night and the lighting is terrible in our office.)
Step 2: Paint the the numbers and let it dry
Step 3: Distress! I wanted the numbers to have a slight distressed look so I took sandpaper and distressed them. I noticed it gave the clay pot a different color when distressed so I went ahead and lightly sanded the entire pot so it all looked consistent.
Here is a close up of the distressing of the pot.
Step 4: Add flowers and Voila! I got these small mums at Walmart for $0.96 each! This is such an inexpensive project and I know I will use them year round!
And here are some ways I have changed them up for the different seasons!
