Football Season Porch Décor

Football Season is officially here and I couldn’t be happier! Last weekend I was on cloud9 watching all the games. I wanted to do a cute little porch setup for football season since it’s still a little early for me to bust out all the pumpkins, mums and hay (although it may not be long).

I scored this chalkboard at the thrift store several weeks ago for $8!!! I couldn’t believe it when I saw it, I think everyone assumed the thrift store was using it for their signage but luckily I asked and that baby came home with me (although I did get comments from two different ladies while I was guarding it with my life).  I got out my chalk pen this past weekend and sketched up a quick little football sign for the porch.

The chippy white post stays on my porch at all times. I found it at the thrift store one day, the owner said he rummaged through a barn and found it, neither us had a clue what it was used for but it was too good to pass up. I found a rod iron hook at TJMaxx and VOILA, the perfect chippy little porch post for seasonal signs. This was one of my first burlap hangers I ever made and it didn’t hold up well when we moved but until I can find time to make another one, it will do!

It’s nothing special but I’m enjoying it while I’m waiting to get mums and hay!
