Blush and Brass Fall Tablescape

Last fall I had the privilege of working with Afloral and creating this beautiful floral arrangement using their faux flowers. I was out thrifting and found this awesome brass vase that even had leaves in the pattern and knew it was perfect to use with the florals I had chosen! I used a combination of their faux roses in creams, blushes and whites and some other flowers that were a deeper maroon. I’ve loved this centerpiece ever since and haven’t been able to bring myself to take it out of the vase ever since.

I knew I had to find a place for it this fall and decided to use it as my inspiration for the dining room. I decided to shop the house and love how this fun and unique tablescape came together!

I’m no queen of tablescapes but I will share a couple of tips I’ve learned over the years:

Tip # 1 – Pick a color/finish combination and stick with it (including colors, metals, wood finishes)

So for this tablescape I’m using white/creams, blush pink, brass and a light wood tone. You’ll notice that the tray on the centerpiece is the same wood tone as the charger plates, the brass appears in several places, the pink napkins ties in with the roses and the creamy white plates and candlesticks ties in with the white flowers as well.

Tip # 2 – Layer!

I like to layer a table runner, tray, centerpiece. I also layered charger plates, plates, napkins, etc. All of this adds visual interest

Now for the details:

As I mentioned before, I put this together using all items I already had. Several items were thrifted, estate/garage sale finds I’ve collected but I’ll link everything that I can at the end!

I would love to find some old brass pumpkins but I’m not sure if such a thing exists and since I was trying to be resourceful I had to come up with something on my own. I had several white ceramic pumpkins that I’ve collected over the years (mostly from Dollar Tree, a couple from Target Dollar Spot). I decided to give them a little makeover using some gold spray paint I had in my paint stash. For these I used the Rustoleum Metallic spray paint in the color Metallic Gold

I think the “brass” pumpkins made the love this whole tablescape even more. I’ve never seen anything like them and they were the perfect addition to my layered place settings.

I actually started out with just the place settings and centerpiece but then found these awesome brass leaves in my fall decor. These are actually meant to hang on the wall (I’ve used them in a vase in the past) but I just layed them on the table and just staggered some brass candlesticks I had in between them. I love how unique they are and it was the perfect thing to fill in the space on the runner!

So that’s it! It literally took me 10 minutes top to throw this all together and I absolutely love how it turned out! If I ever find some blush or maroon dessert plates while I’m out shopping I may snag those to layer instead of the napkins but in the meantime I love using what I already have!
