Fixin’ to Sell on HGTV

While I was off work with Ellie for a couple months after she was born, my sweet friend from high school, Chelsea, reached out and asked if I’d be willing to help stage a house for them that they were flipping for an HGTV pilot! Talk about an awesome opportunity and perfect timing since I was already off work! I couldn’t say yes fast enough! Chelsea is one of the owners of Hammer & Sales, a local company that flips and sells houses in our area. They turned a below average houses into dream homes and I had the privilege to help with some of the styling for the show.

This was such a great experience, getting mic’d up and signing waivers for the show, all of the things you would expect that goes on behind the scenes. It is also much harder than you would think, you don’t want to be over the top excited where it seems fake or annoying but you also don’t want to be boring! The house really turned out amazing and I couldn’t be happier that I got to play a small small role in the process.

I had very little confidence I would make the 28 minute pilot but it was such a cool experience to be a part of and it is doing something I love, so I was thrilled to help either way! BUT.. I actually do make a couple little appearances at the end which was a wonderful surprise! Chelsea and her team did SUCH an amazing job and I’m so grateful to add this to a bucket list experience!

Unfortunately the pilot didn’t air on HGTV due to being purchased by another broadcast that cut 90% of the pilots but the good news is you can watch it on the HGTV app! All you have to do is go to the HGTV app (I found it on my ROKU), scroll to the bottom under All Shows, Find the generic HGTV listing with a couch and click that. Then scroll through those until you see Fixin’ to Sell and that’s the one! I’d love to hear what you think!

Chelsea gave me permission to share all the amazing work they did! They really knocked this out of the park!

These faux topiaries and doormat may look familiar, I shopped my house for some items to use for the styling also!

The open concept and amazing ceiling is just EVERYTHING!!!!!

And I just loved this cute little vignette I did for Hammer and Sales!

I hope you all will go watch the show and commend and let me know what you think! And if you’re in the Huntsville, AL area definitely look up Hammer and Sales if you need any rennovation or home buying assistance!
