Fabric Pumpkin, Doily and Babies Breath Decor

Well…in true blogger fashion, I have some fall decor out already! I know it may be early for most but it’s kind of nice to start playing with pumpkins and all of my fall decor! I always start with my console table in the living room. I loved my fall console table last year… you may remember it from HERE.

My pumpkins from Flax and Willow (who used to be Timewashed) are my favorites. I loved styling with them last year (as you can see above) and I really wanted to incorporate them in the living room again but in a different way then I used them last year. If you think bloggers always have a plan, let me tell you, this one doesn’t! I spent a couple days trying different stylings and moving things around until this idea came to me! I always love my decor the most when I let them evolve and this is another example of that!

So after much trial and error, I walked by the niche in our entryway and that is where inspiration struck! Do you see what I see?

I keep all my doilies in a teal vase I bought years ago at an estate sale and love how they look next to the dried babies breath! And that is how this magic happened! I pulled out all of my fabric pumpkins (Timewashed, Love Feast and a DIY) and then starting finding different sized doilies that suited the size of each pumpkin. I started with the largest and just worked my way out adding doilies and then pumpkins on top. I wanted the doilies to show around an inch or so larger than the pumpkins.

We received several beautiful flower arrangements when we lost our babies back in March and I saved all of the babies breath from the arrangements because it dries so beautifully. It provides such a great natural element and texture and I like to use them in vases around the house. I pulled it all out and just started wedging small stems in all the negative space. I love the vintage/traditional feel the doilies and dried babies breath adds and I’ve never seen anything like this for fall decor which made me love it even more! If you don’t have dried babies breath you could probably buy fresh and use them the same way and they would dry out as they were being used.

So this is just the first part of my Fall console table. I will be sharing the rest later this week but I couldn’t wait to share my pumpkin, doily and babies breath decor!
