How to Hang Wreaths on Your French Doors

I’ve been wanting boxwood wreaths for our french doors since we moved into our house and I’m excited to say I finally have some! This past Spring I actually had ordered these small preserved boxwoods from Target but they were too small for the doors and just didn’t work… luckily they’re perfect candle rings so they’re still being put to great use!

When I saw these from Tin Roof Gift Shop I knew they would be perfect for the french doors. They weren’t too small or too big and add just what I wanted to our entryway!

Here is the problem I found…it seems almost impossible to add hangers on french doors! I didn’t want to attempt to add nails in risk of breaking the glass and also because I didn’t want holes in the panes. Suction cups have never really worked for me, you could use wreath hangers but that wouldn’t make the wreaths eye level, you could use ribbon to hang them but that’s a lot of ribbon hanging down for a small wreath…it’s more difficult than it sounds!

I found these magnetic hangers online which sounded like the best solution! The problem is that I couldn’t locate them locally and didn’t really want to spend $30 on two hooks. I headed to my local store and found these and they worked perfectly and were still budget friendly!

Now, I will say that there was still some slipping of the hook once the wreath was added so we just placed them right above the pane to stop the magnets from slipping down any more and that seems to work perfectly. The wreaths or hooks haven’t budged when the doors open and shut, you can’t see the hook and it didn’t cause any damage to the doors…it was a WIN WIN! I’m so glad to finally have my wreaths and to have a found a budget friendly and easy way to hang them on our French Doors!
