Pumpkin and Boxwood Planter

I’ve been slowly working on Fall decor over the past couple weeks. Our house was still being built this time last year so this year is my first time decorating for Fall which means lots of brainstorming. I only had a few fall decor items that work with the decor in our new house so I’ve been trying to DIY and decorate as cheaply as possible. I picked up these small pumpkins from Dollar Tree in hopes that I could paint them and use them around the house.

I pulled out the stems and used the Ivory Krylon chalk spray paint to cover the pumpkins. This spray chalk paint is such a time saver and perfect for small projects like this!

I dry brushed two of the pumpkins with green and brown to give it a more natural look but left the rest plain ivory. I used this wooden planter I got on clearance at Home Depot last year and just layered burlap in the bottom then used two faux boxwood balls from Hobby Lobby and the painted pumpkins to fill in. This would be great for a centerpiece for a table but I am using it on out console table.
